neXus 1000

Renewable by Nature. Reliable by Design.

Sustainability has become a defining priority across the packaging industry. Customers increasingly expect brands to reduce their environmental impact — and see becoming part of the solution as a shared responsibility.

neXus 1000

neXus 1000 is a renewable, water-based coating that offers a sustainable alternative to synthetic, fossil fuel–derived coatings. It provides a barrier to water, oil, and grease, while delivering slip and non-abrasive properties when applied to paper and corrugated packaging.

  • Renewable source — vegetable-based emulsion, not petrochemical-derived

  • Multi-barrier protection — resists water, oil, and grease

  • Slip & non-abrasive properties — suited for paper and corrugated packaging

  • Lower environmental footprint — smaller impact in manufacturing and end use vs. MOSH-based coatings

  • End-of-life advantage — designed to repulp, recycle, and compost better than typical barrier coatings

Sustainability

neXus 1000 is built on a proprietary vegetable-based emulsion, formulated predominantly from naturally derived, renewable feedstocks. By repurposing nature's compounds without depleting the source, neXus 1000 offers advanced, sustainable technology with a smaller environmental footprint — in both manufacturing and end use — compared to typical petrochemical-based coatings containing mineral oil and saturated hydrocarbons (MOSH).

Based on its inherent composition, neXus 1000 is expected to repulp, recycle, and compost better than typical barrier coatings.
